This is the outcome of my safety training for the refinery. I tell a story that my Dad told me about "welders" in China how they will line up behind each other and weld until they cannot see anymore and the next worker takes over...resulting in severe vision problems. I tell our contractors and new employees be lucky they aren't in China and to follow our safety standards to protect themselves...and this drawing is the 'take-away' from one of the contractors...they still learned something right?! #safetyfirst #cannotbelievethis #ppe #refinerylife

Hoop Challenge for myself: Stop being so SEXY!!!

apparently some parents complained that one of my recent performances was too racy & inappropriate....so I have to tone it down for my next one.... ok... >︵<; 

guess this is a good thing in a way, relying on sex appeal too much degrades the art form anyways & I do need to deepen my movements, explore other styles and give weight to more variety in my pieces....because I don't want to be one dimensional or have people watching me get the impression that all hoopdance is about is being seductive/sexy.

It's just so easy to get stuck in the same style though without other hoopers around to influence me, watching videos of other hoopers is one thing, but it'd be a breath of fresh air to interact with someone in person~
