pretty much what I’d expect a biomedical research facility to look like. BAV Genetics, Boston, MA.
The best teachers... recently we had a swarm removed from our pear tree in the front yard. Talking to the bee keeper that came to get the swarm I have a new interest in this smallish part of the world. Talking to him, I have learned so much but it has spurred me into meeting up with another friend that gave me his name... the nature of our yards, the plants we plant and the “why” we plant them. I realize I should be planting and maintaining the native plants and not some of the ornamental plants that really don’t serve the purpose that they should. I started seriously in photography with nature...laying in the wet grass, shooting wild flowers and insects. The art of the capture was my quiet place. My wife would say I don’t even care if anyone sees my photos... she is partially right. I don’t necessarily like to be out alone but it does allow me to quiet my mind. Hear the wind, the snap of a twig the songs of the birds and insects. Being so close sometimes that when you get the photo home you can see yourself in the eyes of the subject. enough rambling... I finally had a weekend the felt really good. Productive and a visit from friends I have not seen in years. We are all on a different path yet we all seem to have similar issues. It’s nice to have good conversation... I hope we were good hosts. The flower is Buck-Bean, it is a perennial flower native to the northeastern United States. This was taken at Kinds Gap, in Pennsylvania
Solar eclipse photographs taken while it was raining. The storm clouds were awesome!
