Gotta question - how many people/who knows about Cait Sith? And do they know he's connected to Reeve?

(I'm working on a fic and tbh I'll probably end up just writing it however I want, but I think Cait shows up in Before Crisis or something?)

You have no idea how much I love timeline/lore/character-knowledge questions. Okay. So here we go.

We have no idea when Cait Sith was made/Inspired.

The earliest on-screen appearance of Cait Sith is in Episode/Chapter 20 of Before Crisis, which is set in February 2007. For reference, the bombing mission at the beginning of the OG and FF7R is in December of 2007.

Canonically, the Player Turk (which can be any of the BC Turks) in BC, Tseng, and Rufus all see Cait Sith and interact with him during this episode. All of them are also aware of his connection to Cait Sith. Tseng and the Player Turk stand in a room with Reeve while Reeve "controls" Cait Sith, and Rufus is in the room next door.

So put simply, Reeve knows that the Player Turk and Tseng know. He is unaware (at the time at least) that Rufus was in the next room and knows.

And as far as we can tell, no one else knows until Cait Sith is "recruited" to spy on AVALANCHE. It is, presumably, at this point that the other Turks find out, but really, you can flex it around however you like.

My personal preference is that Cait Sith 1 was Inspired in 1997, and that Cait Sith 2 (who is also activated at some point prior to December of 2007), was activated in 2005. Of course, ymmv depending on what you want to do with them. <3

Hi Dean!! I know this is sort of a weird question. I was wondering if you had a stuffed animal or a teddy bear as a kid.

I had a couple of blue racing cars and tractors lying around before everything went to hell, and there was this one little brown bear on my shelf that I remember. It had this small white leather jacket on it like Elvis, and it had a blue scarf that I’d play around with whenever I could find a way to reach to get it from the shelf. 

I also had this puppet things that I never liked. Gave me the creeps.

That all feels like a lifetime ago. It’s kinda hard to remember the details, but I really did like that little guy.
