What was the 'Robin Hood's death wish' post from the RH forum you mentioned in your tags on that Much post? I'm curious, i've never heard of it.

It's not so much about Robin constantly thinking, "I wish I was dead and didn't have to deal with all this anymore." Rather, as @reblogginhood proposed it--and probably I'm going to put it in less eloquent terms than Erin would explain it--it would be a very subconscious belief or urge that he deserves to die borne out from his PTSD/guilt from the war & 'failing' the people of Locksley he's supposed to protect and look after. Plus, as is mentioned down-thread, it could also be tied into being the captain of the king's guard and how he might have linked him leading=people getting killed, and we also know Robin wants to avoid killing anyone so it doesn't bring his memories of the war back to the forefront of his mind. So this doesn't mean Robin is actively suicidal or very aware of it, but he is sometimes very reckless with his own life where's it's not always warranted, and he might not 'mind' all that much if he does die or needs to sacrifice himself in this fight he's in. Anyway, I'm condensing this quite a bit, but the thread is well worth a read. I think framing Robin's actions this way makes a lot of sense from a psychological perspective, and so this interpretation has really stuck with me when I conceptualize Robin as a character.
