apparently what I do is write really sad fic about the clones in this verse? well, these ones didn’t actually exist in verse canon but if they did it’d be very sad. I mean, they might be “just” clones but clones are people too

What if Victor miscalculated and one of the clones actually, successfully rebelled, and...idk, Loki Prime would hate any of his clones on principle even if they weren't Doom's handiwork but now I want something where a clone escapes and actually makes a life for himself, or Loki and a clone escape together

oh man, clone team up. because yeah, I’m pretty sure Loki Prime would...not tolerate a clone of himself, especially a Doom created clone. I mean, Loki encountering any version of himself is always a recipe for horribly embodied self-loathing trips, much less one tied up in all of Loki’s Doom-related issues.
but if one somehow managed to get out on their own, and managed to avoid Loki Prime (though man, the existential panic of realizing that you are a clone of someone else, there’s another head trip), and somehow crossing paths with a clone!Steve and the two of them going on a roadtrip of self discovery or something, idk
man that’d be such a trainwreck though because those versions of Steve and Loki would be like five times more fucked up than the Prime versions

This was so uncomfortable to read, but in the best kind of way. Poor Loki -- even as a clone he's desperate to prove himself worthy.
some things stay the same. and yeah, there’s something about Loki that I think just...wants to please, and in this case that’s definitely even enhanced by the fact that he sees Doom not just as his creator but as his entire world. he literally has nothing and no one else. so of course all his self-worth is pinned on him.
it’s almost a distorted reflection of how Loki pins all his hopes on Odin’s approval, making him the central figure around whom Loki’s self-worth revolves.
