i have [gestures vaguely] my tendencies
having an evil shixiong: most normal thing in the world. in fact if you don’t have an evil shixiong you need to really carefully consider the possibility that you might be the evil shixiong
having an evil shishu: also extremely normal. what, you can have an evil shixiong but your shifu can’t? grow up.
having an evil shidi: also fairly common, although there might be a larger issue at play so keep your eyes open for that
having an evil shifu: this is itself an issue, since you are now in one of the classic Confucian Conundrums and have to choose between sacrificing righteousness or filial piety
having an evil disciple: come on man. this one’s on you
having an evil shimei: stop what you’re doing RIGHT now. as of this moment, your one and only mission is to unconditionally support your evil shimei, no takesie backsies
having an evil shijie: ccan i get yuor shijie’s number. please
When Shen Jiu killed Wu Yanzi, Yue Qingyuan should have followed his example and killed his own shitty shizun too
there's something to be said about characters whose deep wells of love and devotion are connected to equally deep wells of violence, particularly when the dam between those wells bursts

unfortunately they can’t be shaking hands because this post is about how they both had their right arm cut off. #handtheory
i just think it’s neat how they are both positioned as authors who orchestrate very particular narratives around themselves, and then they both get their right hands cut off at the moment when they are usurped as author / lose control of those narratives. i just think it’s neat!
rewatched cql in 2026 and im right back in my ayao feelings
Sketch 1/2
I miss them. they’re so silly
Every fifth TGCF textpost: people are wrong about the Character
Every fifth MDZS textpost: nobody understands the Themes
Every fifth SVSSS textpost: what if Shen Yuan transmigrated into a pregnant flea
THE UNTAMED | episode 37
Sometimes, fanfiction is carefully plotted out stories, with plot points and call backs and themes that all tie it up in a meaningful and exciting way.
And sometimes fanfiction is, ‘Watch me do a fucking KICK FLIP off this cool sentence!! Also here's some sex'
Both are beautiful forms of writing.
basically the best thing any character can do is decide they don't want to be afraid anymore - in fact they never want to be afraid of anything ever again - and take action so drastic they fail to realise that this too is a decision motivated by fear. or to account for the Consequences of that.
[with obvious perverted intent] hey. don't you want to release the safety catches on that character. don't you want to flip off all the switches holding them back and let the control rods descend.
big fan of when a character is dead and the narrative frames them in a very angelic, soft, gentle manner but then it turns out not only are they still alive (plot twist) but theyre alive in the most gruesome and horrific way. your loving kind mentor who motivates you to fight in their memory came back wrong and theres blood and dirt under their fingernails from clawing they way out of the grave.
this would've happened to jiang yanli if mxtx respected women
