this might not be my usual ninjago posting but i just wanted to share some sky cotl concepts i did back in 2021

still kinda proud how they turned out tbh

sky had a little contest (is that the right word?) a couple months back where players were challenged to design their own capes.  So i threw my hat in the ring, and this is what i came up with!  im still in love with this cape, and even if i never get to use it for anything sky related, i plan to use it for some kind of character for other things.

The motifs on the cape were meant to represent the sun and moon,  but the moon got a little covered by the fur on the cape,  and at the time, i was too stingy to change the shape of the fur.  But thats what that circle on the right side is!

The glowing wings are also meant to represent the sun and moon at the same time.  The cornia of the sun surrounding a cresent moon, and both surrounding the representation of what can be inturpreted as all, a full moon, a blood moon, or a solar eclipse.

The idea of the cape was to be like, an ultimate reward for a season, either called ‘Season of Eclipse’ or ‘Season of Sun and Moon’.  If any of you are interested, i might possibly design more capes and possibly even pants for it in the future!

I had so much fun designing this cape! i just hope i can find something to use it in some day, because it would

BEHOLD!!! THE THICK AND QUICK YARN!! Ages ago I bought this thick and SUPER SOFT yarn. I started to make a cape and ran out half way through. I then proceeded to struggle to get yarn to finish the project for several months. Save your labels people. .....save your labels.... anyways this is my capelet and it buttons down the front. It’s sooooooft and makes me feel like the snow queen from Narnia with how darn fluffy it is. It was also super easy to make aside from lack of materials. I think working on it actually only would have taken a week if I had had everything I’d needed to start.
