A fun visit with some wonderful friends at Don Stucke’s retirement party at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum this afternoon. Don owned Hyannis Art Supply at the Sherman Square triangle in the west end of Main and South Streets. Many if us met up there regularly to chat with Don and with each other. Working with Don years later at the CCMM was a treat. He curated most of the exhibits there. His knowledge and expertise will be missed And that beetle cat Bruce Colvin and his gang are restoring was built the same year by Leo Telesmanick’s boat shop as the one my dad gave my sister and me. This was not it—they have the original paperwork but it’s related 😉 The guy in the sunglasses is Geoff Lenk who shared office space with me in Osterville at Phol McCartin’s building and then rented me office and studio space for my handmade tile business in his newly bought building way back when. He is now on the board at the CCMM which is a great boon for them! #capecod #capecodmaritimemuseum #retirement #goodpeople https://www.instagram.com/p/CiBJwP6OMoh/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
