Almost Capelette Jacket from Burda Style, 03/2018 #105

This isn’t a capelette jacket a la 1930s when you see them for both women’s day wear in wool suitings and in lovely satins and crepes for evening wear, but it reminds me of one. The sleeves are raglan and flared, but then caught up in a pleat running down the bodice. So the sleeves are tighter than their flare implies which may be why they did this in a stretch woven fabric with a stretch lining. A hidden snap closure runs down the front and then a matching belt finishes the look. The neckline is very plain, so decide if you can live with that, if you have some jewelry than will work, or a blouse that would fill it in. They made it in a soft pastel with a matching straight skirt, a nice look for spring or summer wedding. 

This comes in a pdf that you can print at home, and in the Burda tradition, the pattern pieces do not include seam allowances so you can decided which ones you want to make wider--usually the side seams--and which ones narrower--usually those with serious curves on them.

去年の秋のワークショップで編んでたケープレット、やっと首元入りました。（放置しすぎな！笑） 昨日集中できたおかげで結構進みました。今はひたすら輪編みで二目ゴム編み。段数全然数えてないおかげでサクサクいける。今日は早めに用事が済んだので、そろそろ寝ます💤#編み物 #編み物好きさんとつながりたい #knitting #capelette #ケープレット
