Capernwray Diving Centre by Tony Gilbert
After a fantastic weekend i am now finally a qualified BSAC ocean diver, now to get working on sports diver! <3
Something from the weekend. UK inland scuba diving.
Happy 2018! Can you believe it is 2018? I don’t think I can! We started the new year right with a little afternoon visit to Capernwray Hall in New Year’s Day to see our dear friend, Murphy! While we were there we ran into so many other Capers from our year! It was such a happy surprise reunion! I wish we could have stayed longer—I always feel that way about that place. It’s full of possibilities. . . . #capernwray #merrychristmas #happynewyear #doors #wreath #capernwrayreunion #englandtravel #architecturelovers #christmastimeishere #welcome2018 (at Capernwray Hall, England)
eight years out of england.
September 26 was the eight year anniversary of my spiritual year in England, so to commemorate the experience, I thought I’d share some thoughts I wrote about it a few years back, in the height of my blogging days.

Eventful time in England so far
Traveled for 23 hours straight, landed in London, had an emotional breakdown, stayed at an AirBnB in central London with possibly the best hosts I’ve ever met (love you guys!), went to Warner Brothers’ Harry Potter Experience, arrived at Capernwray Bible School (which is built in a FLIPPING CASTLE*), met some other gamers, parted ways with @freshairandspearmint for probably the last time for a year, got suckered into running a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, went through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, realized I’m attending school with a celebrity’s daughter (Tim Hawkins if anyone knows him, because I don’t), got sick, and memorized actions for the entirety of the Old Testament. And it hasn’t even been two weeks yet.
Things are gonna be interesting.
(*Not actually a castle, I think it’s an old fort, but it’s old and castle-like.)
In John 1:40, it says, 'And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter ).' Jesus says, 'I know who you are, where you're coming from, and what I intend to make you.' And he says the same to us today.
