The full scope of revegetation challenges are shown here, can you guess how many there are? Ha! — Surrounded by grazing cattle and sheep. Pests include rabbits and foxes. #latergram #LabourDayHols The #CapeSchanck Lighthouse stands above the cliffs but also at one corner of a large grassed area. Curiously the Lighthouse Keeper’s cottage is diagonally opposite, with the Assistant Lighthouse Keepers’ cottages closer. All were completed 1859 in local limestone and probably designed by Charles Maplestone. A timber kitchen block was added in 1887 and a further residence completed the square in 1938.
