Okay here's my summary of the weekend..not like anyone cares or anything.
So the two show choirs from my high school (Manchester High) and our Chamber choir traveled to New York to compete in Fame Events Show Choir Competition. The weekend started off with the amazing opportunity to see Sister Act on Broadway, then Anything Goes the following night. On Saturday we competed in the Show Choir Competition at the Lincoln center. We go to Fame's competition for the experience, to be able to see amazing show choirs from around the country, not expecting to win, but to try our best. To make a long story short, our standing choir, Chamber, won Grand Champion, and our mixed show choir, Capital Swing, ended up winning Best Male Soloist, Best Female Soloist, Best Overall Female Performer, Best Show design, and Best Stage Crew and First Runner Up of the Mixed division. I literally have never cried tears of joy until that night..and I almost peed my pants..literally. Capital Swing also received a bid to go to Nations in Chicago in just a month. Another amazing experience. Asdfghjkl. Like I have no words. It was an amazing weekend filler with tears, twerking, dance parties (my room somehow became THE hangout for dance parties), strobe lights, and pizza.
Okay.. I just needed to vent about life and all my excitement.
