‘Red’ was definitely the key word Chiara was looking for here; red lips, red coat, red hairband, red nails. Not only was it her favorite color, but red was festive today, wasn’t it? It was Valentine’s Day, after all, and she was not about to leave this apartment without looking the part. Her phone buzzed, and she fished it out of her pocket; she sneered at the ‘good luck on your date’ text from Arthur, who had so conveniently been out of the house today. Not that she didn’t appreciate it.

She wasn’t entirely sure where their going - only that Alfred wanted to be a nerd and come pick her up like a gentleman, though she would have been happy with whatever it was he’d chosen to do. Running her carefully-filed and meticulously painted fingertips over some strands of her hair, she sighed. It was their first Valentine’s together, and she was nervous and excited and happy all at once.

Soon after, however, once he’d gotten used to the chant - not to mention growing relaxed and comfortable once he realised it was Alfred - a little smile pulled at the corner of his lips, a now content air about him.

He then spoke, softly, “it is cool, Alfred, and it’s a pleasure to see you again; how’ve you been?”
