I agree with anon on that feeling of missing something in a Supergiant game. I think each game has their own strengths & weaknesses, especially in gameplay/narrative. Transistor rocked a compelling narrative & mood, but it has confusing gameplay. Pyre flip flops between gameplay/narrative, but at least it's got fun music & characters! It's like every game does at least ONE thing rly well above all else and it's different every time. At least Supergiant is trying their best in each game tho.
i respectfully disagree about transistor’s gameplay as i personally feel it being so versatile is what makes it engaging hah, but yeah as i said often something is left to be desired in each game. they’re still very good games, one has to acknowledge that supergiant is bold in how they try a completely different mechanic and genre with each title and are able to do execute them rather well, which is pretty impressive in of itself
