Sometimes you hated feeling like this, as if the whole world was a giant scary monster and you had nowhere to hide. It made you feel as if you were still a little kid, and not a grown ass woman. You were also the daughter of one of the baddest rock and roll musicians, Nikki Sixx, for fucks sake. You figured you took more from your mother’s side of the family on this one, as you were the complete oposite of your father. You were happy that he accepted you the way you were, but tried to get you out of your shell sometimes, by taking you to shows or stuff like that, and you were grateful he was always looking after you, but you felt like something was still missing in your life, or rather someone. When you heard that another Mötley Crüe movie was in the making, you figured you would come on set, just to be around people and get used to meeting new people without being a shy mess. But this attempt manifested in you actually finding that person you were missing all this time, the person who was going to succeed in getting you out of your shell.
When you noticed him walk into the room, the first thing that caught your attention were his tattoos. He had a lot, but you didn’t mind, your dad has a lot himself and so you were never submitted to the stereotype of a lot of tattoos meaning the person was bad or irresponsible or stuff like that. You quickly look away, trying to find anything else to look at as soon as his gaze shifted towards you. Everyone from the cast and crew knew that you were Nikki’s daughter, but they didn’t expect you to be so different. You heard footsteps and suddenly a pair of black boots came into your view as your eyes scanned the floor, as you pretended to have lost something. “Looking for something?“ You slowly look up and see the guy you had just noticed, and you could finally see his hazel eyes, almost getting lost in them, but realizing what he just asked you, and shaking your head out of the transe, inventing that you had lost a charm for your bracelet, hoping he wouldn’t see through you.
He offered to help you find it, but you told him it was fine and that you were fine with finding it on your own. You didn’t want him to search the whole set for an imaginary charm just because you didn’t want him to catch you staring at him. “I’m JP by the way, but friends call me Rook.“ He extended his hand towards you, and you felt so awkward as you shook his hand, trying your best to act as normal as possible. JP offered to grab you a drink, but you declined, feeling as if your cheeks were on fire. He seemed to have noticed, flashing you a smile. “In case you want to actually get to know me, I’ll be over at the table with the drinks, I don’t wanna be in the way of filming, I’m just here visiting my friend, he’s playing Tommy Lee. I’m not as bad as you might think.“ He said and walked off, leaving you to ponder your next move. Usually you don’t dare to go over to a guy, no matter how much you like him, but there was something about JP that made you want to know him more.
And you slowly looked over at the drinks table, seeing him laugh with his friend and the rest of the cast, but tapping his foot nervously, glancing in your direction from time to time, but not trying to make you more uncomfortable. You didn’t know this, but just as you saw something about him, he saw something about you, and he really hoped you’d walk over to him, smiling at you every time he’d glance over and catch your eye, hoping to show you that it was okay to be shy, but that you could trust him. You took a deep breath and soon felt your feet drag you towards the table, as everyone else cleared to get ready for the next scene. Rook’s heart started beating faster when he noticed you walking over to stand next to him, but he didn’t look over at you, in fear of scaring you away, instead he started a conversation about the movie, and the cast, among other things, and you started getting used to his company, a small smile rising on your face, turning bigger after you giggle at his joke that he almost tripped over the cables as he was walking to the table. In that moment, Rook turned his head to look at you, seeing you with a smile on your face being the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
As the days went by, the two of you got closer and closer, as he was always finding ways to get you out of your shell just enough, without making you uncomfortable, and it shocked everyone that he was the only one who could do that. They began actually hearing your laugh fill the space around you for the first time since you got there, and surely enough, it motivated Rook more. He took you out for a coffee, to the movies, small things he could get you to agree to, his primary goal being to help you see the true beauty of being around people and nature and letting people see how beautiful you are. But in the process, he started falling for you, admitting it to you about three months after, and he worried you would lock away again, because he thought you saw him only as a friend, but hearing you say you had feelings for him too made his face light up and he felt like he was the happiest man on the planet. With JP as your boyfriend, you were embracing the new you, a confidant woman, unafraif of people’s opinions. Your introvert side melted little by little, making way to a completely different person, who liked meeting new people, but you were glad that JP was around to step in, just in case things go wrong. “Thank you for helping me get out of my comfort zone, I love you JP.“ “I love you too, baby girl. Just don’t start meeting a lot of guys, you’re mine.“ You playfully punched JP’s arm as he chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist, yours finding their way around his neck and planting a sweet kiss on your lips.

I hope you like it anon, I know what it feels like to be an introvert, but I’m slowly changing that for myself too :)
