What are you excited about :D?
Life! :D
There’s this theory that humans exist because of the need to grow and the need to contribute. I am lucky/proud/humbled to have so many opportunities and I cannot wait to fulfill them - both in terms of how much I can develop from the experience, and how much I can give back.
I believe the best things about life are personal development, the people you choose to surround yourself with, and the impact you make. And I am most excited about these three things in relation to AIESEC.
AIESEC is a global student organisation that aims to develop youth leaders with a global mindset, because we believe that is what the world needs in order to face the challenges of the future. I know it gets a lot of shit and many people think it’s a “cult”, but it’s what I believe in, what I am passionate about, and for me, comprises of those three great aspects of life.
Recently I was elected as part of the Executive Board for AIESEC Sydney, the local chapter of AIESEC based at USYD, and basically we are all super keenbeans excited to plan and to make our visions for 2014 a reality :)
Other things I’m really excited about is (no particular order): - Uni almost finishing for 2013, marking the midpoint of my degree! - Shortlisted for an internship that aligns to my potential future career - Taylor Swift RED TOUR :D :D - More free time to hang out with mates and chill :) - More free time spend with Wilson (when we’re both in Sydney anyway) - More free time to do stuff I like. Like travel and clean my room/organise my life etc - Netball season starts again next year (tho that’s in April!)
SORRY THIS IS REALLY LONG. There are just too many things to be excited about.
There’s this theory that the ideal state of productivity is the “state of flow”, where you are happy in the present, and excited about the future. I know that I’ve been growing and contributing, and that there are more and more opportunities in the future to further that even more!
And in a nutshell, that is what I am excited about :)

Boredom bores it’s breath beneath blocks of blissful bustling; breaking battle bought bouts of bounty into bated broken bits, bearing bantam blemishes of a burst brighter before.
I was thinking today about how oblivious people are to people. I've zoned out many a time thinking about my own perspective collective amalgamation of events and scenarios that've led up to this Australopithecine and all his ~glory~ apply, in ever colourful varied and contrasting sequences, to other people too. Seven billion other lives have their own stories: monochrome flashbacks that replay in the darkness of their island minds. Is God an asshole for making us so fucking alone within our own skulls?
There is always more to EVERYONE.
It pains me to know that. It pains me to know that i'll never know.
It pains me to know that there are people I don't know, who are leading lives far worse, far harder, far shorter than I am. All because they had the misfortune of being exactly who they are.
capsuleofme replied to your post: What happened during snorkelling in Sri Lanka :o? I would maybe know if you finished writing your blog about it :PP
Wait what airline are you flying to Europe with for a stopover in Vietnam :o? And ouuuuch, I wanted to try snorkel in Great Barrier Reef but you’ve kinda put me off lol.
Vietnam Airlines HAHA. Yes seriously :P It had the cheapest tickets and they weren't in China as well (parents were a bit worried about the new bird flu going around).
Okayokay. To be fair, I'm just really bad with breathing.. and multitasking. Like you have to bite onto the nozzle thing and remember to breathe through your mouth and not swim into coral (there were waves where I went which is apparently not typical?) while looking for things to see and touch and for me that was really difficult. But maybe not for you?
Coral is surprisingly hard but as long as you don't swim/float into the coral reef areas, you'll be okay. Should probably warn you though, it's not as colourful as photos would make it seem.
ON THE PLUS SIDE I TOUCHED TWO GIANT SEA TURTLES. That was pretty awesome. I think I might've accidentally almost stepped on one too :| but more on this later :P
ANYWAY I'm sure you'll be fine. Plus the Great Barrier Reef is dying so it's kind of obligatory to go see it D: I still have to see Uluru too ;O

well..
yes. those are cityrail seats.
I should also probably mention that this was about a week after I went.. And that I had more scratches on other parts of my legs. But I’m sure you wouldn’t be as uncoordinated as I am in the water haha.
And haha >< I swear I will! I’m thinking of doing it when I’m in Vietnam waiting for my connecting flight. You will be the first to know (;
