[James flinches slightly at the communications device he has on his person starting to speak out. He taps a few buttons before holding one to respond back]

- I've been having a lot of fun yapping with a moot about James so now I'm drawing him a lot lmao

-he's got some new additions to his lore, especially during his DA days and post WKM. Though some were already ideas that were forming or parts of his character I just haven't mentioned on here because well I forgot lmao

-Like bet you didn't know James is short for Jameson or that he has a PHD in physics, science, and mathematics and would have been a college professor but he went into training to become a captain instead

[I have this idea rotating in my head because it's silly, it's my captaineer, and I haven't drawn it yet but I might have to, but instead have a short writing snippet for it in the meantime. "From now on, our relationship, its-its a strictly friendly and professional one and I-"

"I just want you to know that it's never gonna happen again- alright?" Mark blinks at James for a moment, hands on either side of James's shoulders as he pushes James away and looks to the side. His eyes looking everywhere but at his captain's, who was currently tilting his head to the side with a stupid smile creeping on his lips. Mark held his eyes there for a few second longer than he intended before he had drew a short breath, continuing his thought out albeit with a few stutters in his voice.

Mark was cut off by James tucking on Mark's flightsuit and pulling him into a kiss with a that stupid grin still on his lips. Mark's eyes widen for a moment before they fluttered close as he melted into the kiss, hands heading for James's face before he quickly grabbed James's shoulders and pulled back from the kiss with a flustered huff.

"C-captain! No!" Mark huffed before glancing behind him at the door to the cockpit being wide open. He looked back to James who gave Mark a small tilt of his head like a curious dog, brow raised in interest. Mark gestured for James to stay for second before jogging over to the scanner near the door to close it, a quiet laugh from James echoed through the empty room.

"Not with the door open!" Mark quickly closed the door and practically bolted back to James, taking his stubbled face in his hands and crashing his lips into James's with a short laugh. James had no sooner reciprocated the kiss, hands traveling down to Mark's waist to pull him closer as he leaned back against the center console with a light chuckle. James pulled back only a few inches with a smug grin, looking at how Mark quietly huffed and slightly narrowed his eyes at him for pulling away.

...INTRODUCING MARA

-Sooo I kinda wanted to draw my captaineer's kid from tomodachi life, but like also kinda wanted to make her part of Engie and James's actual lore in my stuff for them because sooo uh yeah my silly idea for it

-so she was from a different universe that James and Engie stumbled into before they had resolved the warp core paradox. They both found her in when she was really young (plus she wasn't born but genetically created with science and engineering in the universe she's from originally but her universe's Engie and James 'disappeared'. So when canon/main timeline James and Engie find her, they take her in and raise her as their own

-As she grew up, she took after Engie and learned a lot of what she knows about engineering and technology from him, but also learning mathematics and different sciences from James (and even some criminal law from James's old days of being a DA)

-She quickly becomes known around the invincible 2 as the ship's prodigy and when gets to her late teens she focuses her studies on engineering and robotics, working to try to make robotic prosthetics and gear to better help injured colonists as they eventually go to explore the new planet they want to call home

-Also both James and Engie gave her their half of the heart they wear (since James has his pendant from Engie still and eventually gets a sun pin from Engie too and Engie has the star pin from James and by then James also gave Engie a bracelet and ect. Both of them have gave each other a lot of mementos over the years) and she made the halves into a necklace so she always has her dads with her

-She also calls James just dad or father in a playful stern tone, and she called Engie dadiplier or Pa, when she's older she starts calling them more by their names out of respect for working with them

-unsure if this is gonna be in their actual lore that I'm writing (like my fanfic I'm working on) or a fun au like the corruption and fade out aus I have. Anyhow I hope you guys like her and if you wanna know more I don't mind yappin because you know me... I love my captaineer
