So I’ve got arthritis and circulation issues- I get cyanosis and stiff joints and all that fun stuff at the ripe old age of 24. But I used to be a total athlete! BUMMER, I know.

he’s been reminded countless times
but that still doesn’t make it any easier
there’s days where you feel fine
on top of the world even
but on those days where you’re just not at 100%
god, he just wants to love on you
you can bet he’s gonna give you all the snuggles he can
and the encouragement and praise will be endless
you need a snack/beverage?
he’s on it
a massage?
anything to help you feel better
light walks around the domain (or at least around his king suite)
and perhaps some swimming if the weather allows
he just wants his sweet s/o to feel better
BAZZ
it’s not unusual for him to see you going through a small flare up
and a lot of the time, if you’re able to handle things on your own, he’ll let you
unless it’s heavy lifting or opening things (because he knows all too well you’ll need a little assistance)
or if you specifically ask
but on days where it’s unbearable…
you bet he’s taking care of you
he’ll push his whole day aside to make sure you’re doing okay
he’ll draw you a hot bath
give you an incredible massage
and you should absolutely expect a light physical therapy session at some point
he’s so soft with you
and he listens intently if you have anything to say
he’s always good at going at your pace
but now even more so
his main goal is make everything feel normal for you
RIVAN
Rivan’s a love bug
so snuggles are already a given
he’s got a hot bath for you ready to go
and he’s cleaning/doing house work while you relax
he’s a great listener
so when you need to talk about the pain you’re feeling, he’s all ears
he’ll encourage a light walk if you’re up for it
maybe some yoga
lots of sweet words
but more importantly, he’s still as silly as ever
number one hype man for sure
and will absolutely make the best of the situation
who knew you could make a game out of wrist exercises?
out of affection, he’ll plant light kisses wherever hurts

AU Bazz design sketch. Listed below are reasonings behind the bigger design changes:
1. Jagged fins: in my iteration, Bazz is a much more aggressive/dangerous character in my AU due to story related reasons, therefore I wanted him to be a bit more imposing. He’s a dangerous fighter notorious for his brutally efficient fighting style, so giving him these sharp fins helped push that idea.
2. Orange eyes: this one is smaller, however I wanted to give him orange eyes to make him more visually distinct from the other zora. Also, the orange adds to the harsher stare he’s got. He gets em from his father.
3. Sharper jaw/harsher face: he’s the oldest of the four characters focused on in the zora area in this au, so I wanted him to visually show the years of stress on his face. If he were a Hylian, he’d be in his late 20s - early 30s.
4. Lip scar: firstly, it’s a scar he received during the evacuation of the Domain, and secondly, gives off the impression he’s experienced in fighting, so yea.
Decided to give his head tail a dorsal fin because he gives me orca vibes. Ugh I love this guy, Nintendo makes the best NPC’s and then forgets about them!
Dusted some of those old Legend of Zelda fanarts I was talking about. I really like Captain Bazz, I redrew some parts of the armor inspired by the ones the Zora Captains wear in Age of Calamity, and also inspired by @gabelew ‘s designs!
Breath of the Wild has so many great NPCs but Link’s Zora childhood friends have to be some of my favs.
