With a gentle tap of the toy sword upon both of Link's shoulders, Mipha declared, "I now dub you Sir Link, noble knight of the honourable Big Bad Bazz Brigade."
"Welcome aboard, Link!" Rivan cheered. Next to him, Gaddison offered only a reassuring smile.
"You are now officially under my command," Bazz said, "I expect you bright and early for joint brigade training!"
Link excitedly stood up from his kneel in front of the Zora princess. "Mipha too?"
"No, silly," Rivan replied, "Mipha is the princess! She's not part of the Big Bad Bazz Brigade!"
"We swore to protect her," Gaddison said. "It's a knight's honour."
"That's right," Bazz concluded.
"But Mipha's strong too! She could heal us from all sorts of stuff," Link argued. "We'd be invincible!"
"It's okay, Link. I'll still fix all your bumps and bruises no matter how big or small." Mipha returned the toy sword to him, and with a smile, she lifted her pinky finger which Link embraced with his own. "It's a promise, okay?"
The hylian boy smiled brightly at her, squeezing her finger tightly. "Okay!"
AU Bazz design sketch. Listed below are reasonings behind the bigger design changes:
1. Jagged fins: in my iteration, Bazz is a much more aggressive/dangerous character in my AU due to story related reasons, therefore I wanted him to be a bit more imposing. He’s a dangerous fighter notorious for his brutally efficient fighting style, so giving him these sharp fins helped push that idea.
2. Orange eyes: this one is smaller, however I wanted to give him orange eyes to make him more visually distinct from the other zora. Also, the orange adds to the harsher stare he’s got. He gets em from his father.
3. Sharper jaw/harsher face: he’s the oldest of the four characters focused on in the zora area in this au, so I wanted him to visually show the years of stress on his face. If he were a Hylian, he’d be in his late 20s - early 30s.
4. Lip scar: firstly, it’s a scar he received during the evacuation of the Domain, and secondly, gives off the impression he’s experienced in fighting, so yea.
The tremors from the Ring Ruins falling onto Kakariko village shook the mountains and caused a cave-in where Nashi and Keaton were living. The villagers managed to dig them out and bring them to safety but by the time Nashi went back up to clear out the rubble in her home monsters had already moved in and taken it over, leaving them homeless. For the first time in years, the hermit was forced to live in the village
Even though there were ancient relics literally falling from the sky, Nashi had zero interest in helping the Zonai survey team and constantly refused Paya. She wanted to just stay inside and wallow in her misery but Paya ended up sending Tauro to ask her and not being used to talking to someone that attractive (and shirtless), she ended up getting volunteered to help
The sludge falling at Zora's Domain and Bazz getting sick from it was the first time Pichi actually felt like things might not turn out okay even if she kept smiling. Her boundless optimism was nearly shattered

and Bazz wasn’t really sure how to help in all honesty
the only thing that seemed to help was Bazz’s touch
it was endless cuddles and hugs
and you HATED when he had to leave for work
but when he had a day off
you’d just mope around your living space
you’d felt exhausted all day for no reason at all
and, of course, you’d started your period
“Bazz, you know how I’ve been moody all week?”
“Oh no, don’t tell me… you’re—”
“It’s my period…”
“Oh, thank Hylia.”
you went in for a hug, to which he gave you a big one
but he was extremely confused

and Bazz listened to every word carefully
“So… it’s like a war zone in your body?”
“That just about sums it up, yeah.”
“Do all Hylians and Gerudos have to go through this?”
“Only those with a uterus.”
Bazz, with this newfound knowledge, went to get things you may need
and he comes back with a few essential things
the greatest being a cloth bag filled with rice that can be heated up
because who in the Zora Guard hasn’t needed one for muscle aches?
he’d also picked up some fruits and vegetables to you to snack on
“These should help with inflammation.”
now that he’s been dating you for a while, he knows how to help
though every month you realize your period is about to start, he panics just a little
just because each time is a little different
he hates that you’re so uncomfortable the entire time
and he wishes that he could take the pain away completely
he does give you very nice back rubs though
he always ends up making you feel as comfortable as possible
and don’t worry, he has a chocolate stash for you as well

Thank you so much for answering my last ask! You write characters so well! Could I ask what an argument between Bazz and his s/o would be like? How would they make up?
Relationships of any kind are bound to hit a wall eventually - everyone disagrees about something, it’s natural they’ll express that disagreement. Bazz knows this and acts accordingly - taking a bit of time to reflect and then discuss things openly.
There is a difference between a disagreement and an argument. A disagreement is a simple difference of opinion. An argument is that but with passion, and passion can make things so, so twisted.
To be frank there’s not a lot of things that Bazz would easily get passionately upset about to the point of sticking around to argue. He’s the type to go and reflect on things; a twitch of rage, a frustrated grind of teeth - off to the waterfall he goes!
That is its own blessing and curse.
Reflection is nice, but S/o ends up not being able to get their points across before he heads out, cutting communication short. The argument gets dragged out longer because of this. It’s very frustrating.
If he’s in the wrong, Bazz does apologize. He’s good about that. He dotes comfort on them and whispers apologies and comfort between each soft kiss.
If s/o is in the wrong, it really depends on how they move forward. An sincere apology is enough to get the big, bad warrior to melt back into their arms.
If they don’t apologize, the cycle of reflecting and frustratingly cut-off communication continues.
