Eleteo - You Lift My Feet Off The Ground

The Magic Within and Captain Mateo were both great episodes and I finally found the right song for it! :D A big thank you to @Chrissybell for the inspiration in her meme about Elena and Mateo’s parallel swimming!

I must confess watching this episode was significantly uncomfortable for me. It felt repetitive and as if the lessons the characters went through in the previous season were forgotten. Esteban getting magic powers more than made up for the first two thirds though.

Dona Paloma appointed the new 5t member of the grand councl? Esteban will get a heart attack once he hears about it.

Oh boy, this he new ‚who’s Elena’s real best friend‘ fight from Party of a Lifetime again, isn’t it? When will the lesson ‚you have best results whe you work together‘ finally actually stick? Elena?! You, too?! That’s an Eleteo mment if I‘ve ever smelled one in the entire series.

Mage!Esteban is a gift that keeps on giving. It makes me shipping him with Victor or Cedric all the more interesting. I find it funny how his „brave“ horse runs away and even his magical powers are based around the ability of getting into safety real fast. Not to mention the golden lightning ornaments on his clothes that remind the audience that no matter how often he wears wine red jacket, his main colour is and always will be gold.

Wow, wow, wow, surprise, surprise, the episode is ending with Elena letting someone else chase a threat to Avalor? So there actually is some character development in this ep after all. Good to hear.

Another thing I thought of in rewatching Captain Mateo and Naomi has rejoined after her quick time abroad. 

Now I may be overanalyzing the scene but the thing Elena was talking about trust to Dona, maybe she was also talking about Naomi? Like a dual meaning because Naomi left at such a critical time with all the malvagos on the loose, and Naomi just left because she needed to fufill her dream as if it couldn’t wait till the kingdom was not under threat. 

I mean there’s no indication that Elena ever told Naomi how she felt about her sudden departure and she’s just happy she’s back but. . there got to be some trust issues. Esteban betrayed and left her. Now Naomi leaves at this crucial time. 

And that’s not ontop of the previous season where Cristobal also betrayed her and “Rita” tricked her. It’s a wonder Elena doesn’t have background checks after all that. 

I mean Naomi was no where on the same level of betrayal as that but it must have hurt Elena a little bit

Besides Naomi seemed to be lowkey trying to give Elena her space in that episode and doing her best to help and focus on the job. 

So yeah, those are my random thoughts.
