For the headcanon ask: Captain Shuggazoom! Any general headcanons you have for him? Also: where do you think his powers came from? I always thought they were genetic. And let's say he survived the war: would he retire? Stick around saving the city in his spare time? Go back to his company? Would he have hobbies? idk I think about him a lot :)

General Headcanons

I’m going to answer hobbies here!! I have this headcanon that he’s like... good at tinkering with things? Not like, Alchemist or Chiro level? But I think he knows the ins and outs of mechanics and likes to mess with them!

I also think that he used to be really into keeping fit, and even though it takes him a while to get back to being able to do stuff, he still likes to do some jogging / exercises!

I think part of him feels like he missed out on a lot and, even though he sometimes feels overwhelmed by how much has changed, he throws himself into learning it, because he doesn’t want to seem too out of place.

I think he misses his former popularity, too? He seemed to be a real hit with the citizens in the Golden Ages flashback. It’s possible that his fame would snap right back up once people found out who he was, but it’s also possible his name fell into obscurity.

I also like to think he does his best to get close to the monkeys & Chiro. Chiro I see him looking at as---maybe a son? Or a sidekick? Except more on an equal level. I do think that he would try to pass on as much of his knowledge to Chiro as he could.

And then the monkeys are not only all he has left of his friend, but I also think that he bonded with them and loved them too! So I think he would want to be involved in their lives. I think he would talk to them a lot about the alchemist and their childhoods.

Power Origins

I believe that his powers came from a connection to the Power Primate! Whether this connection was something passed down through his family line; something he just happened to have; or something that he actually sought out and trained is up to interpretation, I think!

End of the War

I’m not sure he would be fit / spry enough to keep saving the city! Though, he did do pretty well against the demon-thing, and Gibson was using one of the healing tubes on him during the season finale, so! Maybe he would be~

I don’t think he would go back to his company; it’s probably been too long, and it would probably be a pain to like... prove that he was who he says he was? But! At the same time, he might long for that connection to his old life, and want to rebuild whatever his company has become in the meantime.

I like the idea of him working to create a place people like himself and Chiro could train and learn to use their powers? But I don’t know if that is something he would do either!

I also like the idea of him deciding to explore the galaxy & see how things have changed since he’s been around! Maybe even trying to find his old friends and see how they’re doing!
