Home again!

We are back from Afest! We had a few hiccups during this entire convention, but still had many memories to take back with us. We also have tons of photos to put up! So check back here for our photoshoots and photos we snagged during the convention of others (the few we got).

Rise of the Guardians

Ok, so, today I finally watched this movie for the first time. And I absolutely loved it! How is it not that popular?? It brought the magic of childhood back, which is arguably the best magic you can find (next to Harry Potter of course). And how can you not love Jack? I mean! His smile made me melt! His cute lil' animated smile! And it's just about this sweet, mischievous guy who comes to figure out who he is. And some could argue even the Guardians too. They come to realize how important is to not only protect children, but see the fun that there is to be a kid, the spirit of childhood. I ask again, why isn't this movie that popular? Or...am I just late on the fandom boat? Whatever it may be, it's definitely a great one.

You know what I love? When people identify with other houses in Hogwarts other than Gryffindor. That makes me so happy, because they are just as important. And you aren't choosing a house because of the main characters or villains, but because you actually think you belong there. That's just great. I have never figured out which house I should be in because I demonstrate all the qualities of each house sometimes...but Im not solely choosing based on things outside of who I am. Just a thought this morning. ~Captain Tess

Happy 4th!

Today is the fourth of July! Yay America! Alas, Im flippin tired. D: You see, I forgot to refill my thyroid pills this week, so I had to go two days without them.... It reallyyyyy messed up my sleep schedule and overall mood. Now I'm supahhh tired and kinda irritable. BUT TODAY should be fun. Fireworks, grilling, and friends. So right now...lemme just gulp down coffee for awhile. Hope your 4th is good too!
