WP really sticks it to trump sometimes, but they also love shaming minorities and poor people
Yeah, this reads as a VERY self-satisfied narrative of ‘not all trump voters* that ignores the facts that $450 is nothing in the face of systematic racism and oppression and b) this is about that person reassuring themselves that they’re not as bad as the media says they are even though they voted to materially damage their fellow citizens and $450 was the price they put on feeling better and exonerating themselves and WaPo spun that into a narrative of how close-minded the waitress was. Fuck it all and nope.
This is a classic case of white people being more concerned about being called racist than contributing to racism.
