yeah! hopefully so! we'll see tomorrow if I wake up early enough to get a shower I guess. lmao. At the very least, tho, they managed to get most of my really really dead hair (my split ends had split ends, it was getting ridiculous)

My mom keeps trying to illegally download movies but all she does lately is download freaky porn with the same movie names instead and she's convinced some government agent somewhere now thinks she's a dirty old woman.

This is the best story. I love mom stories that involve them doing all sorts of shenanigans and running around trying to navigate technology and messing up. Thank you!

if the uti is a bad one it could cause some fluid in her lungs? (i mean, i know this is true for people mostly but maybe cats too??) but the uti meds should help clear that up. hopefully everything works out tomorrow!

I didn’t know that was a thing! Thank you for telling me. I know that the cause of UTIs is different for cats, but the treatment is roughly the same. This does give me some hope that we’ll be able to handle this... Though she’s almost done with the antibiotics. I’ll try to keep positive.

I hate how the show treats Karma’s sexuality/the discovery of her sexuality compared to other characters. She has no actual support.

yeah, they’ll argue it’s because she “knows she’s straight so she doesn’t need support” but come on. this show is really shit with some things. it’s great amy gets to explore her sexuality but like reagan didn’t want to be with her if she likes guys too which is know is the feeling of some lesbians and it’s shit but now if she likes a guy she’s leading him on because she’s into women?

and also karma, like she has just had nothing in regards to support and it’s shit

in the promo it seems like they’ve introduced a bisexual male which i’m cautiously optimistic for but i hope it doesn’t turn into a “will he decide to be with karma and straight, or will he realise he’s gay and date shane?” BECAUSE. HE’S. BI.

i’m really hoping this is faking it trying to actually represent bisexuals positively but idk. we’ll see.

The pumpkin quest

For kurtoberfest (Glee) Prompt 1: Pumpkins

“Elliott, please. It’s the first of October, there is absolutely no need to buy pumpkins for at least two weeks." 

“Oh come on, Kurt! Halloween is over so quickly if you only celebrate it for a day!" 

“As opposed to the whole month, like you do?" 

“Yes! Now come here!"

Kurt sighed as he let Elliott drag him down to the market in search of god knows how many pumpkins. Even though he would never admit it, Elliott’s childish enthusiasm was starting to grow on him. Maybe Elliott’s brand of happy and carefree was exactly what he needed around him while trying to move on from Blaine. 

After a large amount of searching, Elliott had finally arrived at something, which, at least to Kurt’s untrained eye, looked very promising. 

“What about this one?” Elliott asked, picking up the pumpkin in question, one that was both larger and more orange than the previous contenders. “It looks perfect,” Kurt said, the smile on his face compromised by how cold he was feeling.

“Maybe,” Elliott said, running a hand through his newly dyed hair absent-mindedly. “But what if there’s a better one?” Enthusiastically he turned to Kurt, presumably to share some sort of look appropriate for partners in crime, when the gleeful expression died down. “Kurt, honey, your teeth are clattering.” He set down the pumpkin and took hold of Kurt’s shoulders. "Is it that cold? You should have worn a warmer jacket.” Kurt just looked up at him sheepishly. When Elliott began steering him towards the subway he looked back, confused. 

“What about the pumpkin?” he asked. “You’re not going to get it?” He was cold, sure, but they’d been walking around this market for forty-five minutes and it seemed silly to leave without anything to show for it. 

Elliott just gave him an exasperated look and slipped his arm over Kurt’s shoulders, instantly making him feel much warmer. “It’s not that important,” he said. “You want to come over to mine and watch a Tim Burton movie?” 

When they got to Elliott’s apartment, Kurt immediately realized why he hadn’t been that bothered about leaving - despite the inexplicable quest for the perfect pumpkin - there was already one large pumpkin on the floor, carved and halloween-ready, five smaller pumpkins lined up on the coffee table, and countless pumpkin-shaped candles littered around the living room. 

“What is wrong with you?” Kurt asked, fondly, as Elliott shrugged. 

“It’s Halloween,” he simply said, after which he went to turn the heating up. “You find the movie, I’ll make the hot chocolate?” he said from the kitchen.

At this point, Kurt felt stupidly warm, but he didn’t think it was solely due to the temperature of the room.

Wait I'm so confused- since when is newfie a bad word??? I'm from newfoundland, my entire family is from there and I've never heard it used negatively?? We call OURSELVES newfies all the time??? We use it interchangeably with newfoundlander? I'm so ?
