more like butch4butcher, am i right?
i know this isn’t a super popular headcanon in the fandom, but i just love the idea of simon as a butch he/him lesbian. to me, captcon is that one image that goes “lesbian who takes E to get more lesbian x lesbian who takes T to get more lesbian” so think of this as like a little proof of concept for my vision
unfortunately, ava is only physically on-screen for one scene, so i can’t edit much w her 💔 i think the dynamic between these two is so fascinating… ava is simon’s captor who sends him to his death because she truly sees it as humanity’s last hope while simon is a convicted murderer who was raised in a death cult and just wants to live, ugggh they make me so sick to think about!!!
i don’t think an actual domestic au would capture what’s so interesting to them, but i was listening to this cover (check out the singer’s channel, he makes some good stuff!) and wondered what they could’ve been like in another life… but i suppose one of the tragedies of iron lung was that, after all their sacrifices, neither of them could be there for a happier world
