[The voicemail brings a wide smile to Cody’s face for a few reasons. First, FranFab is going to spend time with her lady--and that’s something Cody finds completely awesome. Second, Fran wanting to stay connected to Cody even while ‘unplugged’ sends a clear message to the surfer: she matters. If there was any doubt at all, that Fran Fabray is her sibling, it’s been dashed. Punching in the new number into her phone, Cody wants to call and leave a teasing (but good natured) voicemail of her own. But she thinks better of it, knowing how big this is for Cap.
