Songbird was sitting in the center of her cage, knees drawn up to her chest as she tried to ignore the gnawing feeling in her stomach. Her captor had said he was leaving for a few days so she had to make sure the bit of food he had given her would last. She was playing with a small doll that she had crudely made out of straw. Her long brown hair was frizzy and an ill fitting dress hung from her thin shoulders.
Of course, when Arz spotted a new gateway, he couldn’t help but wonder what was on the other side. What he didn’t expect was some kind of maze of a mansion. Whoever had an open gateway must have been some crazy powerful magician. That or some idiot who doesn’t know what they’re doing. It didn’t matter to him either way so long as the guy knew his place. Speaking of which, he wanted to get the fuck out of this house. The only problem was he was lost in the middle of it all. Shit this was bad. Considering his appearance, the locals would probably make him out to be some kind of thief or monster. Turning back wasn’t an option since he had no idea where the basement was. He walked past a door only to turn his head and spot some kind of… doll? What was he looking at? It definitely wasn’t a person, right? Especially not in that tiny ass cage. He simply glanced around awkwardly before turning around and walking off to find the exit. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to resort to breaking the walls down to find it.
