What is like, the modern American equivalent of Capua? In the show they keep calling it a backwater town (especially compared to Rome) but it is prominent enough for political figures to go in and out (which makes sense since it's along Rome's major highway) and consider the women as eligible brides but not important enough for them to address the alleged pirates killing people in the streets. Historically, it was the first known place to establish a gladiator school and they have prominent gladiators like Spartacus, Theokoles, Oenomaus, and Gannicus who are known almost everywhere.
Like is Capua the equivalent of Wisconsin with the gladiators being the Green Bay Packers?
