Taking this Tuesday afternoon to catch up on all those house things! Thankfully Cody is so amazing with splitting chores around the house and we tend to yum each other's yucks. Laundry is typically his thing (seriously this man is the king at laundry I have never had whiter whites in my life) but we're switching things up a little this week since I'm home for a bit! A strange/fun fact about me is that I LOVE organizing. Whatever the chore is- as long as I can make organizing part of it, I love it. From cleaning out the fridge to tidying up the closet and drawers, I'm in. Do you have a favorite chore? Or maybe even something you do to get through the ones you hate?? Let me know!! ✨

When visiting family this past weekend I obviously *had* to stop at their local Goodwill. Beyond buying 6 or so board games (yes- we are obsessed) I picked up a few clothing goodies and threw together how I plan on styling them ✨

Ok so this Uber cute striped button down is not typically something I’d buy but the cotton is so soft and even though emerald green (swoon) isn’t super summery paired with denim shorts or as a swimming coverup it’s summer enough. My *dream* combo though is with this cutie velvet skirt I scooped for fall/winter (because fall vibes are my aesthetic to my core... srynotsry) Is it September yet???

Granted... where I work rn is way more casual than business but I can’t resist the power combo that is political/social graphic tees and blazers. The metaphor of breaking glass ceilings and fashion standards is just... wow. I found this cute AND comfy tee graced with a quote from one our many saviors, Michelle Obama ✨

If you know me then you know there has never been and will probably never be a flannel I don’t love. An obvious scoop considering even in these scorching months I love flannels for bonfires, swimmie cover ups and trying to avoid hypothermia ingrocery stores in AZ (iykyk). While I plan on wearing this *constantly*with denim and my fave small biz tanks, I can’t wait to pair this with big chunky pearls during the holidays. Christmas is only 224 days away 🎄

Hey there- I’m Cara! I can be described in a lot of ways by different people depending on who you’re askin.

The common thread of them all would let you know I tell it straight. I live for deep, emotional chats until 4am. My love language is acts of service and quality time. Accountability, Justice, and good old fashioned hard work get me goin. There is little more empowering (sometimes scary) than when I get *fired up* and I am VERY passionate about all the things- I simply wasn’t born with a half-assed bone in my body.

I currently live in Tempe, Arizona with my favorite nugget & LOML Cody in a cutie lil apartment but still call the corn fields of Indiana home 🌾 Most days I work in a bonafide Corporate America™️ “big gorl job”. I love HR but have bigger gorl dreams of becoming an entrepreneur & full time creator. I’m sharing my highs and lows on here as I take on that journey to realize my goals, share some cutie content and build a community with all of YOU!
