#CardiovascularChronicles 2020. Iron Man 3.0. Today we celebrate World Red Cross Day with a new battery in our chest. After almost 13 years after sirviving a SCA in a BSA summer camp and starting a second life with ICD 1.0, yesterday my ICD 3.0 was successfully implanted at Hospital Cliníc de Valencìa #GVAClinic. A recall from @abbottglobal of my ICD 2.0 prompted a low battery vibration alert inside my chest. A home remote transmission to @jaxhealth St. Vincent Cardiology Group set the alarm for a ICD replacement. Abbott in Sweden advised me to go to local hospital to check ICD 2.0. Local electrophisiologist scheduled an outpatient surgery for yesterday. All went well and so fast that I was having lunch at home at 2pm. I am so grateful to God and prayers of family and friends. Iron Man 3.0 is back with a new battery and a new commitment to continue sharing these stories so you can have #HealthyHearts. Today I am back in Scouting action participating in #WorldRedCrossDay #BSAMapathon hosted by #ScoutsBSA @tacseascouts @gulfseascouts. We are adding new points to #MissingMaps to support #FirstResponders in supporting #Ebola and #Covid19 efforts. #FirstResponders used #CPR #AED to keep me alive until God, doctors, and nurses did their job. Today I am celebrating and thanking again. Learn CPR, AED, and Wilderness First Aid. You can save a life. Stay healthy. Your heart needs you! #DrLepervancheHeart. #LivingWithAnICD #VivirConUnDAI (en Hospital Clínic de València: Departament de Salut Clínic-Malva-rosa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_6rBqEI1xq/?igshid=1ryj4x75hbjcw
