it’s like... ugly / uncanny designs can work, if that’s what you’re going for. like the designs for the new addams family are fucking weird and ugly, but that’s the point, it’s the Addams family, being weirdoes is their thing, rejections societal is their thing, so it works. if the new cats was going to do something with the iffy designs, maybe turn the muscial in a more horror-y or something way i’d be chill with it, but there’s no reason. ah h
#I want! to be excited for this movie!#but the lord is testing me#also with the Addams family the designs are actually closer to the original comics#and it would have been easy to give them boring pretty designs n make them look like they do in the movies but they didn't!#they put effort in to make them look more authentic and true to the themes of the Addams family!#and it shows!#plz!#effort!#care!#show it movies!
