Well as my account name does explicitly mention, I am a rookie vegan (not sure if I count as a “babe” tho). I have thought long and hard about becoming vegan, I just didn’t necessarily know how to or where to start, until I watched ‘Cowspiracy’ who provided me insight I was initially nervous about taking on board.
Simply because young people already have to worry about education, cars and houses going up 100% over the past several decades while wages only got propped up by a weaselly 10% - why should we have more to worry about?
But I did anyway because it eases my overthinking head and achy heart. I also talked with a close girlfriend of mine who I have literally admired for years for being a solid vegan in high school and still is to this very day.
Apart from going to the dietician, she gave me some rad advice, like;
- Smith’s Salt n Vinegar chips contain milk (which blew my fucking mind) so maybe try Natural Chip Co - milk free...almost same taste,
- B-12 is super fucking important... as is iron - duh,
- Doc Marten’s and several other big clothes/accessories chains have a vegan line (in case I ever felt the need to watch $200+ fly out of my account),
- Detox is BDSM level R O U G H (which never hurt no body in a way they didn’t like lol fml),
- Good whole food sources are hard to come by,
- Too much processed soy has much the same effect as consuming to much processed anything,
- and finally finding make-up/skincare/cleaning products that are vegan and don’t harm animals is hard but also doable!
Straight up, no h8 to people who eat meat... That’s your prerogative fam, peace out <3
