📚🎧 Silent but not still …
At Carleton College, students take a unique (and much-needed) break from studying with their annual Silent Dance Party—right in the library. How does it work? Everyone shows up with their own headphones, presses play on a shared playlist, and then… dances. In total silence. 💃🕺 Imagine rows of students grooving between the bookshelves, completely in sync but making zero noise.
It’s quirky. It’s wholesome. And it’s the perfect reminder that even during the most stressful moments—like finals week—there’s always room for joy, connection, and a little bit of weird.
College traditions like this make campus life more than just classes and exams. They turn everyday spaces into memories.
Would you join a silent dance party in your library?
