~ Melody of a Ghost ~ Carl knew. He herd her name. Daryl and his father spoke in hushed tones, but he herd it. Beth. Her name came from Daryl's mouth so suddenly. Carl almost missed it. He almost couldn't hear. "I was with Beth for awhile." Daryl said calmly. He said it so dry, holding something back. Rick hesitated. He didn't want to know. "Is she dead?" "She's just gone." And that was it. No more words were spoken on the subject. Carl squeezed his eyes shut, her pale face coming to mind. Her voice filled his ears, the melody of a ghost. It was a haunting sound, the same song unending. His vision became foggy, Carl couldn't stay awake any longer. {|•^•|} Mun: I wrote this little thing because the new TWD season is coming out!
