 Jack enjoyed spending his time doing various things. Today he was spending his time freezing and unfreezing a local pond. The people in the nearby town were too loud for Jack’s taste. He decided to spend today alone. Unfortunately, fate did not allow that outcome. Jack could hear leaves crunching under someone’s feet. He twisted around in order to better see.

“Hello out there!” Jack greeted loudly.

Hicca sighed heavily as she walked with Toothless to get away from the village just for a little break.

The sound of a voice calling out causing both to jump in shock. “Who’s there?” She called out as she looked around the forest while Toothless stood ready to attack.

Jack shrugs, wondering how exactly to describe himself. "Nobody too important," he chuckles quietly. "My name is Jack."

Without a care in the world Jack walks slowly toward the voice. He stops several yards away, keeping his distance. "What's yours?" He asks, curious. The dragon beside her causes him to raise an eyebrow. He didn't realize people were keeping dragons as pets now.

Jack was enjoying his summer to himself, causing some minor flurries to a particularly beautiful island. Motunui had an amazing landscape and he couldn’t help but wonder how it would look covered in snow. His fun was interrupted by a girls voice. He noticed the girl was obviously native, so Jack understood the confusion. Even with that in mind, he still laughed. “Absolutely anything is possible if you believe it is.” Jack answers her, unsure of her ability to actually see or hear him.

“Wait…is someone there?!” she looked around but couldn’t see anyone. She brought her arms close to her from the cold.

Jack froze midair. He blinked, having a difficult time processing the situation. He carefully landed on the ground nearby. “…. You can hear me?” He questioned quietly, a hint of excitement playing in his voice.

“Well yes, you’re speaking out loud!” She said. “But I can’t see you. You’re hiding too well.”

“Well, that is odd.” He admits, “I’m not hiding.” Jack watches her, anticipating a startled reaction. Over the course of their conversation he was walking closer to the girl. Now he was a only a few feet away, as he looked at the side of her face intently.

“So what? Are you trying to convince me that you’re invisible?”

He chuckles, wondering exactly how far he should let this go. “No, no. Not invisible.” Jack generally enjoys tricking the mortals, but he finds himself more interested in getting to know this girl. He finds it odd that she can hear, but not see him. She must believe in spirits, but not specifically Jack Frost. “I am a guardian, or a spirit. Which ever you prefer.” With a swift motion of his hand, Jack spells out his own name in the snow flurries for her to see. “My name is Jack Frost.”

“Jack frost? I’ve never heard of you…”

"That's probably because I am a winter spirit. The others don't really appreciate me ruining the seasons." Jack grins to himself and leans casually onto his wooden staff. ". . . but sometimes I don't listen very well." He snickers, imaginging the other guardians scoldinng him for creating snow on a tropical island.
