[Mafia AU] 1 2 3 3b 4 5
He killed a man and learned too late how easy it was to cross the line.
Dragging the Forbes family back into the world of blood, debts, and violence was never part of the plan.
Neither was Caroline Forbes.
Somehow, the sheriff’s daughter became the one thing Jeremy couldn’t afford to lose.
This is fine🙂
I really wanna draw Carmy but I’m so out of touch with drawing men they look funky🥲
Anyway, go watch The Bear cause it’s so good and I’m obsessed 😗
THE FAMILY BUSINESS
Ao3
"Dead girls don’t get hunted. They get to live."
Fandom: The Vampire Diaries
Genre: Mafia AU / Dark Psychological Drama
SUMMARY
In a city built on blood and gilded cages, the Gilbert and Mikaelson legacies collide in a violent merger of debts and survival. As innocence is bartered for safety and loyalty is forged in the Red Zone, the line between protector and predator vanishes. This is not a story of redemption; its a chronicle of the cost of staying alive when the family business is built on the bodies of the people you love.
Across the room, Bill Forbes looked like he was about to spontaneously combust from sheer terror. His skin was the color of curdled milk, and a fine sheen of sweat had turned his high-collared shirt translucent at the neck. He was clutching a leather-bound folio as if it were a shield, though it wouldn't save him. Not here. Not with the Mikaelsons circling like sharks in a feeding frenzy.
Klaus Mikaelson was leaning against the grand staircase, a smirk playing on his lips that didn't reach his predatory eyes. He wasn't even looking at Bill. His gaze was fixed on Kai Parker, who was currently adjusting his cufflinks with an infuriatingly smug expression. Kai, the human personification of a migraine, was engaged to Rebekah—a fact that Klaus clearly intended to rectify with a shallow grave the moment the opportunity presented itself. The air between Klaus and Kai was thick with a murderous static, a silent promise of evisceration that Kai seemed to find hilarious.
"Are we going to do this, Bill? Or should I just have my associates start the liquidation process with your thoracic cavity?" Jeremy’s voice was flat, devoid of the cracking uncertainty it had possessed only months ago. He stepped into Bill’s personal space, his posture an intentional insult.
Damon narrowed his eyes. The audacity of it Jeremy playing the Capo, dictating terms while Elena was tucked away like a prize he hadn't yet decided to award. Damon’s thoughts drifted to Bonnie, the only one who seemed to see the tragedy for what it was. He’d seen her earlier, a ghost of the girl she used to be, her eyes red-rimmed with a mixture of grief for her father and a searing, white-hot hatred for the world Jeremy was building. She hated Damon, too—hated him for his complicity, for his hunger for Elena, for the way he looked at the Gilbert power vacuum as an opportunity. But Damon couldn't afford her pity. He needed the girl.
"You can't just... you can't take everything, Jeremy," Bill stammered, his voice thin. "The shipping lanes, the warehouses... that’s three generations of Forbes history. And Caroline... she’s a child."
"She’s an asset," Jeremy corrected, his tone chillingly clinical. "And your history ended the second you let your debt to the Mikaelsons exceed your net worth. You have two choices, Bill. You sign the transfer of the Forbes Shipping Group over to me, and you hand Caroline over to Klaus as per the merger agreement. You do that, and you get to walk out of here and spend your retirement in a very comfortable, very quiet house in the country." Jeremy paused, a dark, jagged smile touching his lips. "Option B is you keep your pride, and I have Stefan show you exactly how many ways a man can bleed before he loses consciousness. Either way, the company is mine, and Caroline is Klaus's. The only variable is whether or not you’re alive to see the wedding."
Elijah Mikaelson, ever the diplomat of the macabre, stepped forward, his hands clasped behind his back. "I believe the young Mr. Gilbert has been quite thorough, Bill. It would be... untidy... to prolong this. My brother is not known for his patience, and I find my own reserves are beginning to thin."
Bill Forbes looked around the room, a trapped animal looking for a hole in the fence. He looked at Damon, perhaps hoping for some shred of old-world solidarity, but Damon just took a slow sip of his bourbon, his eyes cold. Damon didn't care about Bill’s company. He cared about the fact that Jeremy was currently the one holding the leash on the entire operation including the girl Damon wanted.
"You... you ugly, soulless bastard," Bill spat, his voice cracking with a final, desperate surge of defiance. He looked Jeremy in the eye, his lip trembling. "You’re nothing like your father. Grayson would have been disgusted by what you’ve become."
Jeremy didn't blink. He didn't even flinch at the mention of his dead father. He simply pulled a fountain pen from his breast pocket and tapped it against the folio in Bill’s hands. "Sign the papers, Bill. Before I decide that your tongue is more trouble than it’s worth."
With a broken, shuddering sob that made Klaus let out a short, bark-like laugh of amusement, Bill Forbes slumped against a side table and scribbled his name across the documents. He was a man signing his own death warrant, even if he was being allowed to live. He handed the papers back to Jeremy with a look of pure, unadulterated loathing.
Klaus pushed off the banister, his eyes gleaming. "Marvelous. Truly. I must say, Niklaus is quite tickled by your performance, Jeremy. You have a certain... flair for the dramatic. Very Mikaelson of you." Klaus walked over, plucking the papers from Jeremy’s hand and scanning them with a satisfied hum. "And to think, I was worried the Gilbert line had gone soft with all that 'protection of the innocent' nonsense."
♫ + bonnie and ♫ + caroline/jeremy (a character and a ship!)
Bonnie
sadly this is the song I think about for her especially for the fic I'm currently writing for her
like she’s always the one holding things together, fixing the damage, taking the consequences, and it slowly turns into something people don’t even question anymore. it’s just bonnie will handle it
Jeremy x Caroline
it’s the whole quiet longing thing. jeremy moving through mystic falls feeling like he’s always a step behind everyone, caroline trying so hard to be seen in the right way, wanting to be chosen and never quite feeling like she is. it’s soft. it’s awkward.
and I swear jeremy would be the one sitting there thinking she’d never look twice, while caroline is overcompensating so hard she doesn’t even realize who is looking.
I have this imagine in my head that Carmey like to cuddle or he will hug from behind the moment he gets home from the restaurant. He can't stop laying on you.
