Cletus: Oh yeah, I found it in granny's attic some years ago...
Frances: And you didn't share it with me?
Cletus: I honestly forgot about it until just now. And I wasn't sure about sharing it because well it's like... gross. I'm pretty sure it's bound in human skin. And knowing a bit of history and all.. Didn't know if you'd like it.
Eddie: You're pulling my leg, right? It sounds like you're describing the Necronomicon.
Cletus: Uh.. its kinda like that, yeah. Ever heard of something called the Darkhold?

Cletus: It was in another language... difficult to use, but I found some simple spells. Seeking, to help find Frances, and Protection to avoid getting caught. It worked, it was working... until it didn't.
Eddie: So it didn't work.
Cletus: No, it did work. I was so close but then I did something. I... I think I displeased what was on the other side.
Carnage: All the more reason not to fuck with it!

I... [To Frances] I didn't think you'd like that. So I helped her get away. But that wasn't part of the agreement. I lost my protection. They caught me soon after that.
