Card 2 of 2: Carnage-ized Daredevil (Joe Quesada homage)!

Before shipping, I always scan the artwork in high resolution. Usually 600 dpi is great for me, though there are exceptions where I sometimes need to go higher.

Last year, the 2 Daredevil cards in this project were my very first commissions ever a Daredevil collector! 🥳

2025: FIRST-EVER COMMISSIONS!! 🥳

STEP 1: Sketch ideas/layouts! 😄

My very first commissions were a 2-card project last year for a Daredevil collector! 🥳

The first card was based on the awesome black and red variant cover costume design by Jonboy Meyers (see pic below)! 😊

The second was to draw Daredevil taken over by the Carnage symbiote!

But then we combined that "Carnage-ized Daredevil" idea with doing an homage to a classic, iconic Joe Quesada Daredevil cover (see pic above!), which made a super fun idea even MORE fun! 😄

These pics only show this first step in the process (arguably the hardest), where we're just figuring out what we're gonna do, making decisions...once the final layouts have been chosen and then loosely penciled on the actual cards, we're on to step 2: INKING! 🥳

Last year, the 2 Daredevil cards in this project were my very first commissions ever, for my friend, Daredevil collector @rwe_bmb! 🥳

After spending hours creating any given piece of art, the last thing I also like to do is grab a quick video of the card in hand before I say goodbye and send it off to its new home! ❤👋
