He looks up, unsure of what the person standing next to him said for a moment. “Huh? Oh...yeah I’m fine. Just tired, I guess.”
“The next person to ask me what’s wrong is going to get a firm kick in the ass. Why can’t a girl just want to have a fun more than one night a week? I’m going to this club down the road, do you want to come?”
“Okay, okay, one more selfie. I just want to Snapchat this beautiful day and the lighting here is just oh so perfect.”
“I have to ride the ferris wheel! I just have to. Are you coming with me?”
“Are you going to share this funnel cake with me or make me eat it all by myself? I’ll do it if you don’t get your ass over here.”
“You want it?” Flynn asked, holding up a purple stuffed monkey he’d just won from a balloon dart throw. “I didn’t expect to actually win, and I have no fucking clue where I’d put this thing in my apartment.”
Exiting her car and stepping out into the hot and muggy hair, Elliot's face crinkled up. Her uniform was sticking to her skin underneath, her backpacking pushing the thick fabric against her back not helping the case. “Holy shit, it’s hot out today.”
Slowly finishing off her bag of cotton candy, Amelia stared up at the fireball ride with excitement. It was the closest thing to being at an actual amusement park, and it’d always been her favourite - which was why she looked at the person beside her with a huge smile. “Will you go on it with me?”
