[Press Release] MANILA, Philippines (March 12, 2017)—International pro triathletes Ruedi Wild and Radka Kahlefeldt bagged first place at the 2017 Century Tuna IRONMAN 70.3 at Subic Bay, Philippines, finishing at 3:48:24 and 4:22:13 respectively.

Crowie Dominates 2016 Century Tuna Ironman 70.3 Subic Bay

Subic Bay saw some world-class triathlon action last March 06, 2016 as the sport’s superstars gather for the 2016 Century Tuna Ironman 70.3 event.  Three-time Ironman Triathlon World Champion Craig “Crowie” Alexander from Australia took the overall title while two-time ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships winner Caroline “Xena” Steffen from Switzerland took the women’s crown.

Australian Tim Reed and Swiss Caroline Steffen became the Male and Female Champions of the 2015 Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines. Reed beat fellow Aussie Tim Van Berkel by 2 seconds to capture his first ever Ironman 70.3 title. Caroline Steffen had an easier time despite some setbacks in the bike leg as she won her 4th Cobra Ironman Philippines title.

Men’s Top Five Professionals:

The Men’s race has been dominated by Australians. Defending champion Brent McMahon (3rd Place) is the only non-Australian in the Top 5.

There were over 2,600 participants in the 2015 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines and the biggest draw was Filipino Actor Piolo Pascual who had once again successful negotiated the bike leg of the relay event.

Caroline Steffen wins Female Pro division of the 2015 Ironman 70.3 Philippines

Caroline Steffen completed her 4-peat in the 2015 Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines after suffering a mechanical problem and a bike crash.  The Swiss female professional triathlete finished the course in 4 hours 23 minutes and 54 seconds. Steffen was 5:17 ahead of her closest pursuer Beth Gerdes of the U.S.A.
