From what I've been told, Bono was a shite driver when he could drive in that he was so distractable and serious with passenger conversation. Not a negative, just a truth. Lol

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s accurate. Did you ever see the interview where he basically terrorizes the reporter by simply driving her around Dublin? 1993 or so.

Nevertheless, I’d have got in the car with him. :D

Its a guitar riff. Edge has a rack mount that is pretty much like a NASA space system. His switching system is one of very few like it in the world, and the stuff he has at his command is simply rediculous. That screech during “mofo”? Yep, guitar. So while this is a sample on tour, im pretty sure he conjured it from the depths of edgeland.

Ah! Thank you very much! I just listened to it about six times in a row, which unsettled my dog, and while I was fairly sure it was a guitar, it does have this almost-vocal quality to it. I tend to assume that most weird noises on U2 records are guitar-based, or at least start out that way, but for this one I needed a second opinion. Thanks again! :)
