†đ #Repost @dan_clay That night, I started thinking about resolutions. Every New Year promises a âNew You.â We promise to lose weight, save money, see friends, stop smoking, get balanced, get organized, find love, find time, drink less, learn French, learn to say âno,â learn to say âyes,â and learn to take time for âme.â But before we can fix ourselves, we need to find whatâs broken. As I started to list all my problems & imperfections that needed fixing in 2018, I had a New Yearâs Revelation: Did I really want to count down the New Year with put-downs about the Old Me? When the ball dropped in Times Square, did my self-esteem have to go with it? I couldnât help but wonder: What if my New Yearâs resolution was to stop seeing myself as something that needed to be fixed? As I raced to Mirandaâs, I plotted a resolution revolution: I would be happy with the Old Me, the New Me, and the Now Me. And I would give all of me to all my girls; because the best way to ring in a new year is with old friends. On second thought, maybe I did have one resolution: No matter what, even in the dark, even when itâs cold, even in the snow, even in pajama pantsânever stop sparkling. #CarrieDragshaw (at Bee's Hive ;-P)
