carrifestex - from carri(on), (tub)ife/x, and (mon)ste(r)
an umbrella term for identities relating to the game carrion. has an innate relation to the specific kinds of body horror that the creature exhibits - changing in size frequently, having many eyes and many mouths, each one full of teeth, tentacles used both for moving around and prehensile activities, hardening one’s flesh to use as both protection and for violence, being able to withstand extreme temperatures, turning into worms for ease of swimming, and being able to collect electricity inside one’s body, and use it to one’s advantage. can also be related to the game itself, playing it, the lore, or whatever else the user feels is right! is sometimes inherently connected to the umbrella term macarshric, but isn't always so.
identities can also be sorted into the monster subtype, the scientist subtype, and the parasite subtype. role system equivalents here.
the monster subtype is the antithesis of the scientist subtype; with feelings of being nonhuman, violent, and hungry, but simultaneously intelligent and even somewhat misunderstood. if on a scale from red to blue, the monster subtype is pure red.
the scientist subtype is the antithesis of the monster subtype; with feelings of fighting against the creature, while simultaneously trying to learn about it. if on a scale from red to blue, the scientist subtype is pure blue.
the parasite subtype is balanced between the two other subtypes; with feelings of tricking others into believing you are something you’re not, still experiencing the same aching hunger as the monster subtype, but feeling connected to humanity, and wanting desperately to be within that group. if on a scale from red to blue, the parasite subtype is purple. the specific shade of purple can be defined by the user.
