I feel like I should share my vultures with tumblr. I walked out to my building's parking lot this morning, and there were 12 of them, just chilling on the fence that surrounds the lot, and on the dumpster. Having a party. They're such pretty creatures. So goth. They're Black Vultures, unlike the pink-headed Turkey Vultures we had all over my home town, about 45 minutes northeast, which are also epic, but less goth.

Please excuse the grossness of my building and fence. Our landlord is awful. I think there were 15 vultures actually if you count the ones on the roof.

The Skeksis always reminded me of the Griffin from The Storyteller (also a series by Jim Henson that I highly recommend).

I know it should be the other way around since The Dark Crystal (1982) came before The Storyteller (1987), but sadly TDC was barely dubbed in spanish and I don’t remember any channel broadcasting this movie, so I missed it when I was a kid :(. Meanwhile The Storyteller was pretty popular here, contrary to USA (or at least that’s what I think? Since I don’t see many english speakers talking about it!).
