personal troll fanon regarding which part of the skull the tusks grow from

#world of warcraft #wow #troll #wow troll #troll fanon #troll headcanon #forest troll #jungle troll #ice troll #sand troll #darkspear troll #jungle (+ subtypes) and ice troll tusks grow from the maxilla #forest troll tusks grow from the mandible #i didn't include zandalari trolls because they're consistent within the game #the vanilla playable troll model had one tusk variation anchored to the lower jaw and the rest to the upper jaw #and i think forest trolls have always had various types all anchored to the mandible #ice troll models have as well afaik but i think it's more interesting if they grow out of the face directly #sort of like a babirusa but less likely to grow back into the skull #not pictured but it makes sense to me that female trolls follow the same principles #since there are no female forest or ice trolls in the game (other than winterax/revantusk) who's to say both sexes don't grow big tusks #trolls are pretty adaptable #as evidenced by the relatively recent development of sand trolls #which also leads me to believe ice trolls should have way thicker hair with more body coverage #i like to draw mine with a full mane
