Dear J.Seph,

Is that too formal? ㅋㅋ 

First things first, I must say that I admire K.A.R.D and all that it stands for. I think you’re all very talented and a fun group to watch, from your switched dance videos to interviews. Maybe we can all collaborate in the future~ But ah, this isn’t what this letter is about… 

You answered something about what you would do to me and I know you were a bit embarrassed to say it (I was shy hearing it), but I wanted to thank you for being honest. On stage I may seem confident, but truthfully I do not naturally have confidence in my face or my body. On stage you just have to own it and do your best right? You see, I’ve been training for a while and I watched my friends debut one by one. I thought there must have been something wrong with me, that I lacked the skill and the visuals to become a singer. Perhaps the real reason for my lack of debut was that the timing was just never right, and luck was never on my side. But what else could a teenage girl think in an industry that’s all about being the perfect idol? 

Anyway, hearing your words made me feel alluring and sexy off stage. I loved it, so don’t worry about potentially coming off as forward. I’m grateful and curious to see how that would actually feel. Maybe one day. Maybe one day you’ll let me know what comes after the ellipsis, and perhaps I’ll know how to return the favor.

As a veteran in the Korean music industry with her group celebrating their ten year anniversary later in the year, Sooyoung had found it was somewhat of a struggle to attempt to keep up with all of the new releases. It sometimes felt like a new group debuted every day, and she didn’t have the time to sit around all day listening to the releases.

She didn’t recognise the male as she was wandering down the street, barely even looked up when they passed one another, even if she was somewhat confused as to why he seemed to be speeding up his pace. That was, until she heard a female voice call out a name she quickly registered as a stage name. The female then sighed as she seemed to realise what was going on, turned around on the heels of her sneakers and hurried after the man that had only just passed her, her fingers enclosing around his wrist the moment she could reach him. “Follow me, I know all escape routes in this district.”

“Surprisingly I haven’t! I have a friend who’s parents own a bakery and I get to eat all types of wonderful pastries and treats, but never this.” She paused momentarily, looking down at the box of sliced pieces of cake before him. “Mind if I try a piece?” Gem motioned to the treats with a small smile playing at her lips.

“I’m afraid since I don’t know your personality well enough, it’ll just be artificial stuff,” she bows her head apologetically. “I’m sorry. I’d like to get to know you though, so I can change this in the future. But right now I think I like your eyes a lot, eyes tell a story about a person, and yours tell me you’re a nice person.
