Seemingly unprovoked, in season 9's 'Follow That Egg!', Cartman did a kind act.
There was no hidden motive, no attempt to shift the blame, he just walks straight up to Mrs. Garrison, alone, hands over his broken egg, and says that he failed the project. He even admits to trying to hide it in the beginning by gluing it back together and whatnot. Cartman then tries to persuade Garrison to not mark Heidi down, insisting that he should have an F and her an A so their grade can come together for a good C-.
And he even refuses to take the fake egg Garrison gives him. I mean, obviously it's because Cartman doesn't trust him since no teacher will help you cheat a school assignment, but c'mon, at any other given moment, wouldn't the Cartman we know just happily take the egg and continue on as normal?
Sure, this whole thing is small and unimportant. Because honestly, he could've just not shown up to Garrison at all. He could've ran around the whole town and bend over backwards to try and keep his grade.
But he doesn't! He keeps the whole thing a secret from Heidi and admits his faults (probably begrudgingly) in the hopes he can keep her grade from tanking as well.
And then nothing happens (to my current knowledge) until ELEVEN SEASONS LATER, when all of his devices are broken, and he and Heidi become a couple.
I know it's not connected in the slightest, but MAN, I think about these two events so much.
Does this count as a Roman empire or something? Idk
It's 1 in the morning as I'm writing this so like
