Early bird gets the greeting from their superfans
anyway. nobody asked me to but i'm sharing the first three paragraphs of this phil cartooniverse thing because i really like it but i have no idea if i'll ever finish/go anywhere with the whole thing so SOMEBODY should see it
Phil Ellis came out a fully-formed man from the Great Blank Page in the Sky.
That’s how he explains it at least. Not that he has anybody to tell it to since making the fact that actual Cartoon People widely known is something against the generation-spanning long list of rules. Everyone he’s met like him has a similar story, a statement of how they came into existence: drawn by a little girl who made a really big wish, a portal from another universe, an inconceivable mystery. Phil had liked the idea of there being something much greater than himself out there in control of creating people like him. It felt a lot better to him than the truth at least which was that nobody knew where they came from or how any of them even were still around in the first place.
There’s a thousand narratives that float around pubs and family tables (families which were, for all intents and purposes, just folks finding each other and deciding that’s what they were; sometimes there were kids who were born from nowhere and never aged, elderly who looked like they had months left that hung around for decades, brothers and sisters who matched by sheer coincidence) that were about the first one but no one could agree on who (or what) it was. Phil had once suggested there was no First Toon which had unintentionally started an entire existential debate he couldn’t even participate in and it had ended only when a rooster called Howdy pulled out the dynamite. Phil couldn’t blame him much though; the animals tended to be a lot more touchy and—no pun intended—had a shorter fuse than the people. They didn’t even have the luxury of having a skin suit to blend in every day.
recent doodles mostly of me reviving old ocs :3 been missing these guys heheh

You’d be upset too if your friends left you to rot on a small planet.
Page 87- Timely interruptions.
This is, without a doubt, the page I am most proud of, at least at the moment. The poses, the light, the crystal’s cracks, I just love it. I hope you enjoy it too.
Anyway see you next week!

Even to this day I still lose my mind at the fact that you get a stamp for meeting Herbert. Like, does he himself give it to you? Does this grouchy old and terrifying man just look at a small child and be like “Rules are rules,” and hands them a stamp??
