“After everything…I’d still choose you.”
“I’m no good for you, Y/N,” Castiel muttered from his spot on the edge of the bed, his face in his hands as his elbows rested on his knees.
Disbelief overcame your features and you sat down next to him, gently prying his hands away from his face as you willed him to look at you. Your heart broke at the self hatred in his eyes, the broken, defeated expression on his face. “Don’t ever say that again. That is a flat out lie. You are nothing, nothing but good, do you understand? You’ve made plenty of mistakes. We all have. But that doesn’t mean you’re not worthy of love. And you know what? You’re more worthy of love than anyone I’ve ever met.”
You rested your forehead against his, your thumb brushing away a rare, stray tear that ran down his cheek. You felt a shuddering breath leave him. “After everything, Castiel, I’d still choose you.”
Not a second later and Castiel had his lips pressed against yours, desperation and love in his kiss as his hands cupped your cheeks. He pulled away after several moments, his eyes watery and his expression full of love. “You have no idea how much I love you.”
You smiled, running your fingers through his hair. “You could try to show me.”
A smirk appeared on Cas’ face, and his lips were on yours once more.
