I’m planning my week ahead and I’m trying to figure out how much time I should schedule refreshing @casaofjules2 as we wait for news.
Listen, I don’t know if we’re going to win this thing (actually I know for certain that we are not) but I do know that if there were a contest for best fucking logo, we’d win that in a runaway (pardon the term) because the amazing and talented and generous-with-her-time @casaofjules2 is a freaking graphic design WIZARD and look what she made for us!
In other news, we were finally paired with the other six-pack this week. I met the captain by phone (she’s in California) and we are now ready to finish our planning and hit the starting line, three weeks and 40 minutes from now. We’ll be in Van 1 (runners 1-6) and her crew is in Van 2 (runners 7-12). More about the other half of the team later---she had a harrowing story to tell of how they got here. For now, let’s bask in our excellent visuals.

In addition to practical applications like snow removal, it’s also very therapeutic to use. Once you get going (and lose your fear of terrible death by burning), it’s like ‘HMMMM this is fun -- what else can I burn around here?!’ This is surely a feeling we would all enjoy indulging.

Bless you for your enthusiasm! I sincerely appreciate it. I still hope to find something amazing at some point, but I’m grateful for & interested in everything I find since it’s all connected to the history of the house.
